Folda is made by Clive (contact: admin@roofm8.net). By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Ownership
The app, including its code, design, layout, order forms, drawing tools, flashing presets, slitting and cutting-list methods, photo reading and written content, is owned by Clive and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. © 2026 Clive. All rights reserved.
2. Your licence
Clive gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app to prepare and send roofing orders for your own work or business. This right can be ended if you break these terms.
3. What you must not do
- Copy, reproduce, publish or share the app, its code or any part of its design or features, except as the app normally allows (for example, sending your own order forms).
- Reverse engineer, decompile, unscramble or extract the app's code, presets, methods or reading instructions, or try to.
- Build, or help anyone build, a product or service that copies or competes with the app using anything taken from it.
- Rent, sell, sublicense or host the app, or a copy of it, for others.
- Use the photo reader, or any service behind the app, outside the app, or try to get around its limits or security.
- Remove or change any copyright, ownership or other notices.
4. Your information
Your orders, jobs and details are kept on your own device. If you use a team account, some of it is also kept with your company (see section 5). See the privacy policy for what is sent when you read a photo, email an order or use an account.
5. Accounts and company accounts
You log in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure, as anyone who can read it can log in as you. A company account is run by its owner, who can invite and remove users, make admins, set the company letterhead and share flashings and supplier emails with the team. Everyone in a company agrees that the owner and admins can see the orders they send through the app. The owner is responsible for who they add, and for removing people who leave.
6. Subscriptions and payment
Some features may need a paid subscription, charged per user, per month. A new company may get a free trial. Payments are handled by Stripe; Clive doesn't see or keep your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. The owner can change the number of users or cancel at any time on the billing page; a cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the period already paid. Except where the law requires, payments are not refunded. If a plan ends, you can still open and print your past orders, but new orders and the photo reader may be locked until the plan is renewed. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email.
7. Check your orders
The app is a tool to help you prepare orders. You are responsible for checking every measurement, angle, colour, quantity and length before you send an order, including anything read from a photo. Clive is not responsible for orders made from incorrect information. The fixings calculator and the job cost and quote figures are estimates worked out from the settings and prices you enter. Check them before you rely on them or give a quote to a customer.
8. No warranty, and limits
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Clive is not liable for any loss from using the app, including material, labour or delay costs. If you use the app for business, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, as allowed by that Act.
9. Suppliers and trade marks
Supplier names, product names and colour names are shown only so you can say who you are ordering from and what you need. The app is independent: it is not made by, linked to, or endorsed by any supplier. Those names and trade marks belong to their owners. The app does not show suppliers’ prices.
10. Changes
Clive may update the app and these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
